dinwiddie hall

One of three original buildings of Tulane University, Dinwiddie Hall has occupied its site on St. Charles Avenue since 1923. This complete building renovation includes new classrooms, faculty offices, meeting rooms, and dry labs for the Department of Anthropology, as well as exhibition and collection spaces for the Middle American Research Center. This project achieved LEED Gold certification — the first for Tulane — with reuse of most of the exterior shell and defining interior components. A complete overhaul of the building systems, code upgrades, and roof drainage improvements included in the renovation shall extend Dinwiddie’s viability well into a second century of use.

The project was completed with Waggonner & Ball and professional photography is by Alan Karchmer.
